BMW will add three new engines to the 3-Series saloon range in March this year . Two of them are turbo diesels, a 116bhp being fitted to the 316d and a 143bhp version to the 318d.

Driver who knocked over cyclist keeps his licence

A motorist who ploughed into a cyclist while overtaking two cars has avoided losing his licence. Ben Fulton, 28, was driving his BMW Z4 along the A603 Barton Road, Cambridge, when he lost control of the vehicle, hit a gravel verge and struck a cyclist last August.
